## Other towns in Bell County

These towns are served too. Their own burn and tree rules are confirmed per address before work starts, rather than summarized here.

### Killeen

Bell County's largest city sits on the western side of the county, where Lewisville and San Saba clays give way to stony limestone soils toward the hills. Cedar on the edges of town and homesites on former pasture are the usual jobs. Killeen's own burn and tree rules are confirmed per address; Fort Cavazos borders the city to the north and west.

### Harker Heights

Built on the hills between Killeen and Belton above Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Harker Heights sits largely on shallow, stony Eckrant and Purves soils with plenty of cedar. Rock near the surface limits grubbing depth and how low a mulcher can finish. Local burn and tree rules, and any lake boundary questions, are confirmed per address.

### Nolanville

One of the fastest-growing towns in the county, up about 35 percent from 2020 to 2025 by Census estimates, Nolanville sits on stony limestone soils between Harker Heights and Belton. New homesites on former cedar ground are common.

### Troy

North of Temple on I-35, Troy grew by about half between 2020 and 2025 by Census estimates. It sits on Blackland clays such as Stephen, Austin and Branyon, where mesquite fills idle fields and wet clay sets the schedule.

### Morgan's Point Resort

On the shore of Belton Lake, Morgan's Point Resort sits on San Saba clay and stony soils with cedar and oaks on the slopes. Lots near the lake can border federal land managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which is confirmed per address.

### Little River-Academy, Holland and Rogers

Farm towns in the eastern half of the county on heavy clays such as Heiden, Burleson and Houston Black. Pasture clearing, mesquite removal and fence lines make up most of the work, and rural burn rules apply outside town limits.
